Vegas Wedding? I think so!

This weekend I’m tagging along while my husband geeks out at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. As I sit here in our swanky Planet Hollywood Towers suite, I see the appeal of a Vegas wedding. Not the stereotypical Vegas wedding, but something classy and full of celebration. I envision several days of festivities where family and friends come together to eat great food, see a show, relax poolside and share time with the bride and groom. I would be thrilled to help plan something like this! We often assist clients having their destination wedding in San Diego with activities for out-of-towners, but there’s something about Vegas that sounds wildly exciting. The possibilities seem endless!

Pink Initiative

We are thrilled to officially be part of Pink Initiative! For those of you who are not aware, Pink Initiative is a collection of wedding industry professionals and private donors dedicated to funding awareness, outreach, education and research for breast cancer. Brides, follow Pink Initiative on Twitter to receive fun Wedding Facts and important Pink Facts.

On a related note, Jen, our associate coordinator, is participating in the Susan G. Komen San Diego Breast Cancer 3 Day. I’m told might be dying her hair pink for the walk! If you would like to help her “save second base”, please make a donation today!

DIY Wedding Stationery

Are you a DIY bride who wants to personalize your wedding, but not sure how to make professional looking stationery? If so, there is a resource that you must visit…Paper Source! Just the other night I stumbled upon their store in Carlsbad, CA at The Forum and I fell in love. Not only do they have a plethora of beautiful paper to choose from, they also have wonderful ladies who are willing to help you brainstorm and teach you how to use their tools. In their own words, they “offer the inspiration, ideas and materials to help you plan and create something original and beautiful, whatever your budget.”

The Carlsbad store just published their January 2010 workshop schedule which includes Save the Dates, Favors, Invites and Handmade Album classes. The classes are offered at $35 – $50.
